A leather phone holster only works if two things are right: the phone fits the pocket (with its case on), and the belt loop matches your belt width. Get either wrong and you’ll fight the flap all day—or worse, drop a phone off a jobsiteladder.

Closure notes (from live PDPs):

  • Horizontal Plain and Vertical (standard): strong magnet flap.
  • Heavy Duty Horizontal and Vertical Covered: Velcro closure; heavy-duty style is leather-lined (full-grain in and out) and double-stitched belt loop.

All styles are designed for phones with a protective case on—that thickness fills the leather pocket. Measure with the case installed.

4) Belt width compatibility

Every YourTack phone holster listed below states it will fit belts up to 1¾" wide, including thick leather. That covers:

5) How to measure in 60 seconds

  1. Put your everyday protective case on the phone.
  2. Measure length × width × depth at the thickest points (camera bump counts).
  3. Pick the smallest size that still fits those three numbers—don’t upsize “just in case” on the heavy-duty horizontal if the phone is short; it can rattle.
  4. Confirm your belt is ≤ 1¾" wide (most YourTack work belts are 1½").

6) Common fit mistakes

  1. Measuring the naked phone → pocket feels huge or the phone rattles; always measure with the case.
  2. Ignoring depth → modern camera bumps fail a “length only” check.
  3. Belt wider than 1¾" → won’t feed the loop.
  4. Expecting a clip-on pop-off → these loops stay on until you unbuckle (by design).
  5. Buying XXL for a small phone → excess space; stay in the chart.
